Our stay was short but the french toast was sweet,

your house is beautiful and this bedroom is neat.

We've got to go shopping so farewell for now,

we'll see you next year

hopefully, somehow.

The Blue Heron Inn offers more than just fine overnight accommodations. On premise dining & spirits are available to guests as well as to the public. And the big red barn behind the Inn is home to "The Nostalgia Shoppe" at the Blue Heron Inn. Inarguably, it's the "coolest store in town". A Full Four Seasons of Fun

               - Autumn -

And the fun doesn't stop at summer's end! As the days grow shorter Chautauqua County's Fall festivals come alive as we celebrate the flavors of the local harvest. The festivities take place amidst hillsides ablaze in vivid jewel tones. The carefully tended crops have been gathered, the wineries are busy putting up the season's vintages and the chill in the air turns our thoughts to the upcoming celebrations of Halloween and Thanksgiving.

                - Winter -

Winter in the rolling hills of Chautauqua County is reminiscent of a Currier and Ives Christmas card! Annual snowfalls average more than 200 inches each year, creating sparkling portraits of stillness and serenity. And all that snow is perfect for spending a few days on the ski slopes, riding the hundreds of miles of well-groomed snowmobile trails, taking an old-fashioned horse-drawn sleigh ride on the grounds of historic Chautauqua Institution or trying your skill in a brand new state-of-the-art ice skating arena. The highlight of each February is a 3-day Winter Festival on nearby Chautauqua Lake that features an Ice Castle Extravaganza, sleigh rides, ice carvings, snow sculptures & more.

                  - Spring -

Spring - the most anticipated time of the year! Our region averages more than 200 inches of snow each winter. Needless to say, by the time March rolls around everyone is more than ready to welcome the new season! Signs of Spring will soon burst upon us; the tulips will peek through the dormant flowerbeds and the flowering trees will wave their showy blooms in the warm spring breezes. The geese will nest and new gaggles of goslings, proudly strutting along the lake-shore, will appear each week. Symbolic of the season life will reinvent itself all around us.

Reinvent yourselves at the Blue Heron Inn!
